Welcome!
Concert for the Cure was established in 2006 by a small group of school and university students. Our aim is to increase awareness of breast cancer, and to raise funds for research into this horrible, destructive illness.
Very quickly we realised that our greatest strength was our youth, and the tremendous passion and drive of our wide circle of friends. We realised that if our small group knew so many young people eager to make a difference there were potentially millions more looking for ways to get involved but never being certain how.
And so, right from our earliest days, we have been an organisation with a focus on young people. Not just on how we can connect to young people and inspire them to support our cause, but also how we can spread awareness of breast cancer to those same young people.
By engaging with young people we have provided opportunities to get involved, and the response has been overwhelming. By involving more people in our organisation we believe we will be able to greatly increase involvement in charity - not just ours, and not just breast cancer charities – but instead inspiring young people to involve themselves in all manner of charities, and aspire to make a difference in any way they can.
